Component #1:

The Persona Knee

Your knee is unique—and your replacement should be too. That’s why The Personalized Knee features the Persona Knee implant, designed with a wide range of size and shape options to closely match your natural anatomy.
The result? An optimal fit, more natural movement, and a knee that feels more like yours.

Zimmer Biomet studied real tibia bone shapes from people of different backgrounds, sizes, and genders. Using advanced computer modeling through the ZiBRA™ Anatomical Modeling System, hundreds of virtual surgeries were simulated to see how these bones looked and moved. The research showed that while everyone's tibia is slightly different, the best results come from implants that closely match the body’s natural shape. That’s why the Persona® implants are designed to fit more like your own knee.

The Persona Knee uses metal components (Tivanium® Alloy Technology) along with a wear-resistant plastic part (polyethylene with vitamin E) used for the bearing surface of the knee joint.

Over time, plastic components can degrade due to oxidative stress. To help combat this, our implant incorporates vitamin E, which stabilizes the material—enhancing durability and long-term performance.

Let your surgeon know if you have a sensitivity to certain metals. There are Persona Knee options which may work better for you.

The Persona Knee offers 9 tibial sizes, 12 femoral profiles, and multiple bearings so your surgeon can provide options that most closely match the natural fit of your knee.

One part attaches to your shin bone (Tibia).

One part attaches to your thigh bone (Femur).

And the bearing in between helps maintain overall fit and balance, so your new knee moves and feels as it should.

300,000+ knees later, ROSA-assisted knee replacement brings the satisfaction

In a study of 140 patients, improved pain scores after surgery were reported two years after total knee replacement.

In a separate independent study, of 165 patients who underwent surgery with the Persona Knee using ROSA, 95% were happy they chose the procedure, and 93% were satisfied with their results, compared to a reported baseline satisfaction rate of 80% for conventional techniques.

Your Persona Knee has nearly 40 years of experience behind it.

In 1985, Zimmer Biomet introduced its first total knee replacement and has been helping people regain their knee’s motion ever since.

Since 2012, more than 2 million people have received new Persona Knees.

The ROSA Robotic System
Component #2:

The ROSA Robotic System

Cutting-edge? Definitely. The ROSA Robotic System helps your surgeon map out a knee replacement surgical plan that's right for you.

The ROSA Robotic System helps create a highly accurate surgical plan and adds enhanced precision to your surgeon’s every move. Working alongside your surgeon, it enables:

  • Accuracy by providing real-time data to help with positioning and fit.

  • Your new Persona Knee to be positioned to match the unique shape of your knee.

  • Faster recovery of range of motion compared to non-robotic surgical methods.

The ROSA® Robotic System is designed to assist your surgeon in achieving precise positioning of your new knee, aligned with their surgical plan. This precision aims to improve the fit and function of your knee, which results in faster recovery and better range of motion compared to traditional surgery.

The ROSA Robotics System can lead to less knee pain after surgery and a faster* recovery.

*Compared to non-robotic surgical methods.

More patients would choose robotic knee surgery again versus non-robotic surgery (100% vs. 87%, respectively)

The results say it all—In a study of 60 knee replacement patients, more patients who had robotic surgery would have the operation again (100%) compared to those who had non-robotic surgery (87%).

Trusted by experts—Many surgeons trust the ROSA Robotic System to assist them during surgery for more accurate alignment.

The mymobility app
Component #3:

The mymobility app

With the mymobility app, you can check on your recovery just like you check your stock portfolio

The mymobility app guides you step-by-step, helping you track progress, learn personalized exercises, and stay on track with the recovery plan your surgeon has created for you.

Using your smartphone with the mymobility app can help you:

  • Learn more about your new knee
  • Prepare for your procedure
  • Report your pain to your surgeon
  • Send messages directly to your care team
  • Complete pre- and post-operative exercises

The mymobility app is like a personalized care plan that shows up right on your smartphone or smartwatch—because knee replacement doesn’t come with a user manual. Some cool stuff includes:

Exercise reminders and video how-tos, so you can do the exercises right.

Progress tracking that lets you and your care team high-five, or course-correct, along the way.

Secure messaging with your doctor, so you can skip the hold music, message with your surgeon, and even send pictures.

Smart tracking (thanks, smartwatch!) that keeps an eye on your steps, and movement.

Everyone’s recovery process is different. You and your surgeon will decide if the mymobility app is right for you.

Patients must have internet access and a text-capable mobile device or a compatible smartphone to use mymobility; not all smartphone app features are available with the web-based version. Compatible devices include iPhone 6s and above, Apple Watch Series 3 and above and Android OS 8 and above. The mymobility app can also be accessed from laptop, desktop and tablet browsers including Chrome, Edge and Safari, but you will need a text-capable mobile device as well.

iPhone, Apple Watch, and Safari are trademarks of Apple, Inc.; Chrome is a trademark of Google, Inc.; Edge is a trademark of Microsoft.

Patients must have internet access and a text-capable device or compatible smartphone to use mymobility, and the program is only available through your surgeon.
